Prom Season

Spring Break is now well behind us and all the upper-class guys and gals are thinking Prom Season!!! It's such a special night we tend to remember all our lives.... so make sure you document it with professional pictures... pictures that will last a lifetime. I've taken quite a few pictures through the years... its fun to reflect on how styles change... how different colors are popular from year to year. It may be hard to believe... but research indicates proms have been around since the mid-1800's... and it was given its offiicial name "The Prom" in the 1890's.... Of course the attire wasn't as stylish back then as it is now. It's estimated more than half the gals out there shopping this spring will spend about $400 on their dress alone... wow... No matter what your plans are Prom Night.. make it a safe one! If you have any questions about our Prom Packages at Lockett Studios.. just give us a call at 270-622-8171.

Mall Display

The past several weeks have been very busy putting all the pieces together for my new photography display at the Greenwood Mall. I was the first photographer to have a display in the mall some 24 years ago when I opened Lockett Studios, and last year I decided to take down my display and revamp it. April 1st.. (no joke) my new photography display will be in operation and I hope you'll stop by and see it.. it is located near the center aisle in the mall... next to a jewelry shop.. in the same aisle as the carousel. If you're familiar with the Greenwood Mall that should put you in the right neighborhood to find it. Construction begins tomorrow for the layout and it should be up and running April 1... I'll definitely post a pic. when it is in place for all to see.

Skipper Brown

I can't believe it is March 4, 2010 and this is my first blog... but you have to start somewhere right? Spring is setting in and these winter images are becoming a distant memory. These are my two buddies... the brown dog is Skip and he loves to play with his furry friend Hollywood. Skip looks wild in this pic but he's not really that mean. Skip is at the vet today... poor guy is having some problems and I'm hoping it is nothing serious. We're not sure how old he really is.. I found him when he was at least a few years old. Skip has appeared in many photographs I've taken at Lockett Studios the past several years... so has Hollywood.. and I sure hope they're in many, many more.
